Intrusion Detection Systems

Intrusion Detection Systems using active (door position switches) or passive (motion and glass break detectors) sensors can inform a security monitor of an un-authorized entry, sound a local audible/visual alarm and prompt the display of a camera for assessment and recording.  Traditional burglar alarm systems are commonly considered for intrusion detection and can notify an off-site central alarm monitoring facility.  An access control system can also be used for intrusion detection by connecting sensors directly to the system.
